The Indonesian government has been working hard to attract more foreign investment by expanding investment opportunities for foreign investors. On 2 February 2021, the Indonesian government issued new Presidential Regulation (Peraturan Presiden) No. 10 of 2021 on Investment Business Fields (Bidang Usaha Penanaman Modal) (“New Investment List”), which aims to attract more foreign investors by reducing the number of restricted business sectors.
