Macau

Helena specializes in employment and immigration law, heading the firm’s practice in those areas.
Before joining the firm, Helena spent nearly ten years as an in-house counsel for two of the Macau gaming concessionaires. Throughout that period, she advised top management in key legal aspects of an integrated resort development and operation, as well as in complex regulatory and employment matters. Helena’s keen sense of business acumen and in-depth knowledge of the Macau tourism sector and regulatory landscape make her a key contact at the firm’s gaming practice.
In her employment practice, Helena is recognized by her ability to handle sensitive labor disputes such as unfair dismissals and compensation and benefits claims. She also gained vast experience in large-scale work permit applications, working side-by-side with human resources departments in devising manpower planning strategies.
Helena is deeply rooted in the local community, representing clients’ interests at all levels of government and acting as the firm’s liaison with local stakeholders and public entities.
