Stephanie is a Partner in our St. John’s office with a practice focused exclusively on management-side labour and employment. She has extensive experience in grievance and interest arbitration, human rights, wrongful dismissal and judicial reviews.
Stephanie provides advice to employers on the full spectrum of labour and employment matters, from collective agreement interpretation, labour relations, employee discipline, employment contracts and human rights issues, specifically relating to workplace accommodation. She has also been involved in providing labour and employment related seminars to a wide array of employers.
In 2019, she was named as a Lexpert® Rising Star, celebrating Canada’s leading lawyers under 40. She has also been ranked by the Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory in Labour (Management) and by Best Lawyers™ in Canada in labour and employment law.
Stephanie’s academic achievements are highlighted by her receipt of the Lieutenant Governor’s Silver Medal for the highest overall standing in her graduating law class. Additionally, she was honoured with the Hunt Award for achieving the highest overall standing in the bar course.
Stephanie is a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Canadian Bar Association, for which she is the past chair of the labour and employment section for the provincial branch. She is also a current member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Organization of Women Entrepreneurs (“NLOWE”) and the firm’s Promotion of Women Committee.
