Abdulla Luqman is the Managing Partner of Luqman Legal, Advocates & Legal Consultants. The firm focuses on providing international quality standards in advocacy and legal consultancy to international clients inside and outside Yemen, in addition to providing advisory service to a number of Government ministries and organizations. Abdulla has considerable international experience, having worked in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and Yemen. Abdulla completed his BSc in Mathematics from Imperial College, London. He started his career with Unilever Arabia Group of Companies in Jeddah and Dubai as a Business Research Manager. In 1996, Luqman joined the University of Kent in the UK where he completed his LLB. He then trained with Richards Butler International Law Firm in London, and then joined Al Tamimi & Company Law Firm in Dubai as a Legal Consultant. In 2004, he merged with Al Suwaidi & Company in the UAE to form Luqman Legal in Yemen.
He specializes in Corporate and Commercial law, Real Estates, Oil & Gas, Maritime and Arbitration, with special focus on Islamic finance and international commercial agreements. His main clients include BP, Citibank Corp, DP World, Etihad Airways, International Finance Corporation, Occidental Petroleum, P & I Clubs and a number of international law firms (Bryan Cave, Baker & McKenzie, Clyde & Co, Herbert Smith, Simons & Simons, etc). He also represents a number of Yemeni government ministries and organizations such as the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Oil and Minerals, Ministry of Electricity & Energy and the General Investment Authority.
