Tyler advises clients on all aspects of employment law, in an advisory and litigious context, and in mergers and acquisitions.
Tyler has extensive experience representing corporate defendants before federal and state courts, administrative bodies, and in arbitration. He has successfully defended companies across a wide range of industries against wage claims, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims (including financial whistleblower claims), and a variety of other claims arising from nearly every aspect of the employment relationship. He has successfully argued before federal and state appeal courts, acted for franchisees in landmark joint-employer litigation before the NLRB, and advised on cross-border mergers and acquisitions in the financial and energy sectors.
Tyler advises on best practices and litigation avoidance, including day-to-day compliance questions, providing customized trainings, conducting workplace investigations, and developing personnel policies that fit within a global workplace.
He has served on the Executive Committee for the New York State Bar Association and is an author of the New York Employment Law Handbook for the New York Law Journal.
