Maria Elena is Special Counsel at BLP with more than 15 years of experience in the Labor & Employment, Relocation Global Mobility & Relocation, and ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) practice areas. Her work in these areas includes: advising on the recruitment, selection and hiring process: preparation of legal opinions and internal policies, writing investigation reports, analysis of national and foreign legislation, advice on occupational risk levels for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), management strategies and labor relations, legal audits, prevention of labor crises, advice on risk prevention and labor compliance, design and strategy in regime management, and disciplinary process and labor terminations.
Maria Elena is also a teacher who forms evaluation shortlists for professional technical examinations in labor and labor procedures at the Universidad del Istmo, and has been an advisor on various degree theses on labor and occupational health and safety matters at the Rafael Landivar University.
