Parvathy Tharamel is a Partner in the Labour and Employment practice at Trilegal with over 10 years of work experience, with a strong focus on POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) compliance and workplace investigations.
She is also the Asia Pacific Next–Gen Vice Chair for the Employment Law Alliance.
Parvathy has independently conducted and overseen high-profile sensitive investigations, and successfully gathered evidence to corroborate allegations of sexual harassment, conflict of interest, fraud, discrimination, and retaliation. She is an expert in unearthing evidence, leading in-person interrogations with complainants, witnesses, and the accused, while strategically managing communications throughout the process. Through her hands-on approach, she has helped clients in addressing grievances and managing employee exits seamlessly and minimizing disputes.
In addition to her POSH and investigation expertise, Parvathy is a key advisor in structuring business transfers, carrying out employment due diligences and audits, assessing potential financial exposure for historic labour related non-compliances and resolving issues through structured game plans. She has worked with high profile private equity firms and clients in the technology, banking and financial services sector on complex transactions involving employee movements.
Parvathy has also advised clients on matters relating to employee benefits and other labour aspects ranging from recruitment till cessation of employment.
Over the years, Parvathy has contributed to various renowned international legal publications including Bloomberg BNA, Lexology, the International Bar Association, Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry etc. She has also been a speaker at various conferences and webinars, including the ELA Asia Pacific Employment Law Year in Review, IBM-Roundtable etc.
Parvathy is an alumnus of University of Pune. She is a member of Bar Council of Karnataka, India.
