SyCipLaw Senior Partner and Litigation Department Head Ricardo Ma. P.G. Ongkiko, and Partners John Christian Joy A. Regalado and Ma. Patricia B. Paz-Jacoba contributed the Philippine chapter of the latest edition of the Chambers International Arbitration Global Practice Guide.

The chapter provides a comprehensive overview of arbitration practice in the Philippines, including governing legislations, functions of arbitral tribunals, jurisdictional challenges, interim relief, collection and submission of evidence, types of remedies, enforcement and review of awards, class actions, and third-party funding.

The authors also explored recent developments in relation to the scope of the Philippine Construction Industry Arbitration Commission’s jurisdiction over disputes that may arise from construction contracts and projects.
