The Philippine chapter was co-authored by Senior Partner and Head of Litigation Department Ricardo Ma. P.G. Ongkiko, Senior Partner and Head of Intellectual Property Department Anthony W. Dee, and Partners John Christian Joy A. Regalado and Ma. Patricia B. Paz-Jacoba.

The chapter explores current international arbitration issues affecting the Philippines, covering legal requirements of a valid arbitration agreement, the authority and obligations of arbitrators, governing laws and procedures, and enforcement of arbitral awards. The authors also highlighted recent developments regarding disputes involving sustainability and economic, social, and governance (ESG) issues.
