Amanda Williams defends employers on a range of employment issues involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes. When assisting clients in navigating legal issues that touch on both state and federal employment laws, Amanda works closely with her clients to analyze and explain the legal and factual issues arising from each situation and to plan a strategy that helps her clients most efficiently and effectively achieve their goals.

She counsels clients on all aspects of the employment relationship from hiring to discharge and on various legal issues arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Title VII, South Carolina Human Affairs Law, South Carolina Payment of Wages Act, and other state and federal employment laws. Amanda regularly defends employers in litigation matters pending in both state and federal courts, as well as in administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and South Carolina Human Affairs Commission (SHAC).

In addition to her experience handling various employment law issues, Amanda also has experience litigating cases involving professional malpractice and various contractual and tort disputes.

Amanda earned her law degree from Louisiana State University, where she served as senior editor for the Louisiana Law Review and received the W. Lee Hargrave Award for most outstanding service on law review.
