Albalira Montufar is a Partner at Morgan & Morgan and Heads the Immigration Practice Group of the firm. Her expertise includes more than 15 years of legal advising to companies in matters related to immigration and labor law, including work and residence permits, visas and citizenship applications, as well as advising multinational corporations with such processes when establishing headquarters in Panama.
Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Ms. Montufar was a Partner at a consulting regional firm specializing in corporate labor and immigration counsel and related affairs.
Recently, she has been very active assisting domestic and international clients such as First Quantum Minerals Ltd., Huawei, Panama Ports Company (subsidiary of Hutchinson Ports Holding), Philips, Maersk, Manpower, APM Terminals, Bank of China, among others.

Ms. Montufar is a member of the Panama Bar Association and is currently the president of its immigration commission (2019-2021).
