Enrique Radmilovich is partner of Hughes & Hughes, specialized in Labour law and responsible for the Labour Department of the firm. Doctor in Law and Social Sciences at University of Uruguay School of Law; Academy of American and International Law - International and Comparative Law Center Southwestern Legal Foundation Dallas, Texas, US.

Dr Radmilovich permanently advises key companies in the forestry, hotel, food, construction, agriculture and chemical industries, among others, which are major employees in our market, in all type of labour issues, such as:

  1. drafting of labour contracts and labour handbooks at all levels; employees remuneration and benefits, labour planning and strategic employment, developing and implementing personnel policies, evaluation and special compensation mechanisms and incentive programs; retirements plans; developing sensitive personnel dismissal and severance packages and all sort of social security matters.
  2. advising companies in due diligence process analyzing different labour issues (eg. Due diligence performed during the M&A process of acquisition of Oy Metsa Botnia Ab´s operations in Uruguay by UPM –largest M&A deal held in Uruguay-; Due diligence performed during the M&A process of acquisition of Banco ACAC by BBVA Argentaria; Due diligence performed during the bid for the acquisition of Afinidad AFAP by Prudential  Financial Inc.).
  3. litigation before the Labour Courts defending corporate clients with outstanding success, having managed the Department a percentage of favorable outcomes that reaches 95% of all trials.
  4. Active participation in the execution of collective agreements and complex collective negotiations with unions before the Ministry of Labour.

Former Honorary Assistant Professor, Labor Law. Member of the Uruguayan Bar Association, Academy of American and International Law Alumni Association, recommended by Chambers Latin America as Leading individual.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Uruguayan Nordic Chamber of Commerce and member of the Fiscal Commission of the Uruguay Australia Chamber of Commerce.
