Leigh Cole is a shareholder and director of Dinse P.C. in Burlington, Vermont. She leads the firm’s Education  Group, serving colleges, universities and other schools and educational organizations.  She also serves as Immigration Counsel to Hirschfeld Kraemer LLP, an employment law firm.  She represent clients throughout the United States and abroad in U.S. immigration matters including educational and health care institutions and companies employing or educating foreign nationals in the United States. Representative matters include compliance and SEVIS approval for F-1 international student and J-1 exchange visitor programs at colleges, universities, secondary schools and other sponsoring organizations; immigration for physicians and other health care professionals; 212(e) waivers for J-1 exchange visitors and physicians in training; and immigration matters involving H-1B, TN, L-1 and O nonimmigrant status and permanent residency. The firm’s practice also includes consultation and representation regarding proceedings in U.S. Immigration Court. Ms. Cole is a member of  the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) where she has served on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee; the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA); and NAFSA: Association of International Educators. She is a frequent speaker and author on immigration topics.
