On May 9, 2022, Law No. 21,441 (hereinafter, the "Law") was published in the Official Gazette, which amends Article 66 of the Labor Code regarding the paid leave in case of death of certain relatives of the employee.

The Law increases from 3 to 4 working days the duration of paid leave for employees in case of death of the father or mother and incorporates the same leave in case of death of a brother or sister, establishing that "in the case of death of a brother, sister, father or mother of the employee, such leave will be of four working days".
