Juan is Special Counsel for BLP in the Nicaragua offices. His specialties include Agroindustry, Business Law, Aviation & Maritime, Energy & Infrastructure, and Free Trade Zones.
During more than 15 years of experience, he has advised local and international companies on day-to-day affairs, with an emphasis on multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, corporate restructuring, and financing operations.
He is an expert in aeronautical regulation, in addition to the formalization and registration of contracts and guarantees in that industry. Likewise, he specializes in Free Trade Zones (FTZ), advising companies on the areas of service, marketing, and manufacturing during the process of establishing their operations in Nicaragua under the FTZ regime, securing the benefits and obligations that this type of operation entails.
He joined the BLP team as Special Counsel in 2021. He was previously a BLP Director and an Associate since 2014.
