A shareholder in the firm's Baton Rouge office, Ms. Cancienne practices in the areas of labor, employment and health care litigation. She has extensive experience in defending employers in wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, civil rights, First Amendment, defamation, wage and hour, and whistleblower litigation. She regularly counsels public and private sector employers in all aspects of employment law, including drafting personnel policies and procedures, employment contracts, confidentiality and trade secret agreements, and covenants not to compete. She also regularly represents health care providers in medical staff, peer review and credentialing matters.
