Aisling advises both domestic and international clients in relation to a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues as well having a busy corporate advisory practice.  Additionally, she has developed a particular expertise in issues facing employers in the tech sector, as well as advising clients on their data protection obligations from a HR perspective. 

Aisling's relevant experience includes advising:

  • On the non-contentious side, she regularly provides strategic and practical advice to clients in respect of mergers, acquisitions and disposals, corporate restructurings, large scale collective redundancies, TUPE, harmonization of employee terms and conditions, and advising on all employment aspects of large global outsourcings. 
  • In addition, she regularly advises HR professionals on a range of employment related issues such as  how to manage difficult employees in areas such as disciplinary procedures, performance review, absenteeism issues, and incidents of alleged bullying and harassment (including sexual harassment); advising on all aspects of employment related data protection, corporate immigration; managing the use of atypical workers in the workplace, advising clients on how to handle breaches of its intellectual property by employees and former employees, and general day-to-day employment related issues.
  • On the contentious side, Aisling has acted for a range of public and private sector clients in respect of unfair dismissals, personal injuries, injunctions, equality claims, agency worker and fixed-term worker disputes, and judicial review proceedings and represented employers in the High Court, Court of Appeal, and Workplace Relations Commission. 
  • Aisling has assisted a large multi-national with a project to harmonize the template employment contract and employee policies across its businesses. 

Aisling has developed an expertise in data protection and advises both domestic and international clients on obligations in this area.
