The new year could be especially impactful for employers who may see increased worksite enforcement related to their compliance with the Form I-9 requirements and E-Verify, as well as on-site audits when petitioning for H and L status.

We expect worksite enforcement actions, which have been steadily increasing over the years, to continue during the Trump Administration and likely be more robust. Fees are expected to increase to fund expansion of employer audits.
