Sonal is a Partner at Anjarwalla & Khanna LLP, one of the leading law firms in Kenya, and has been with the firm for over 23 years. She co-heads the firm’s Employment Practice. Sonal also provides support to A&K Tanzania. She is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a licensed Insolvency Practitioner in Kenya (one of only two lawyers in the entire country to have qualified as such). She has considerable experience in employment and labour law as well as aviation finance, banking, syndicated and project finance, restructurings, insolvency and corporate commercial matters. She is also recognised for her expertise in Tanzanian law.
Sonal is a regular speaker at various seminars including Human Resources events in San Francisco, Dubai, London, Shanghai and New York. Sonal also sits on the board of the Employment Law Alliance and is the Regional Chair for Africa and the Middle East. She has until recently sat on the Board of Directors of both Liberty Life Insurance and Heritage Insurance and is the Vice Chairperson of the British Chamber of Commerce.
