August 2015 saw the launch of the Randstad Singapore Workpocket 2015/16. WongPartnership collaborated with Randstad on authoring the inaugural Singapore Workpocket.

The Randstad Workpocket is often referred to as a one-stop best-practice guide for human resources professionals and business leaders globally. While the Randstad Workpocket has been published in many other countries for over 15 years, this is the first time the guide is being launched in Singapore. This guide is designed to assist all employers, large and small, in ensuring that they are aware of what is considered best practice HR processes and procedures, whilst also having a quick and readily available resource to maintain legislative compliance on employment related matters.

The employment law landscape is rapidly evolving, particularly in recent months. Jenny Tsin, co-head of WongPartnership's Employment Practice says, “The Singapore Government is responding to changes in labour market demographics through a range of measures, including mandating the re-employment of mature-aged workers, and extending greater legal protections to contractors, freelancers and low-salaried workers. This however means that businesses are facing increasing regulatory reforms. Employers and human resource professionals need appropriate advice to help them with the myriad of rules and regulations. The Singapore Workpocket will thus be an invaluable tool to address the full range of labour laws and practices.
