Ajay Raghavan is a partner in Trilegal's Bangalore office. He leads the labour and employment law practice at Trilegal, one of few such specialised practices in the country.
From routine compliance matters to complex senior management negotiations and trade union disputes, Ajay has worked on a range of employment law issues. He has worked extensively on drafting and modifying both local and international employment policies and has advised clients on issues such as structuring stock option schemes and benefits as well as structuring and negotiating employment contracts in different sectors. He has also been involved in drafting and reviewing confidentiality, non-solicit and non-compete agreements. Ajay has also assisted various domestic and international employers through reorganisation, termination and closure of their businesses in India.
Ajay is regularly involved in labour audits for clients and also works with them to rectify and deal with compliance issues. He frequently assists clients with disciplinary enquiries and harassment claims. Ajay advises clients on trade union agreements and strategy as well as employee transfers and expat relocations matters. He also advises clients on immigration law related issues.
Ajay routinely provides employment law training for his clients and is a frequent panellist and speaker at various domestic and international conferences on employment law including the IBA, the IPBA and a number of other regional conferences and events. He is on the Board of the XBHR and has been rated by a number of research agencies, including Chambers & Partners, Who's Who Legal, Legal 500, IndianLawyer250, Asialaw Profiles and IBLJ, as one of the top employment lawyers in the country.
