Just as it was five years ago, Lydian has again been honoured with the coveted title ‘Employment Law Firm of the Year’. With this award, the jury at theBelgian Legal Awards yet again recognises one of the largest employment law teams in Belgium.

The Belgian Legal Awards are prestigious national awards through which the legal sector bestows distinction and recognition on what it considers to be outstanding law firms. The jury, made up of business lawyers and expert observers on the legal market, evaluates the performance of all the nominated firms on the basis of a range of criteria. For the category of ‘Employment Law Firm of the Year’, the jury chose Lydian because of its innovative, creative approach. Its pragmatic, cost-efficient style was also singled out for praise.

Lydian had also been chosen as ‘Employment Law Firm of the Year’ at the 2007 Belgian Legal Awards, so this year is its second time. Jan Hofkens, employment law partner and managing partner at Lydian, dedicated the award to the firm’s entire legal and support staff. He warmly thanked them for their hard work.

“We’re especially thrilled with this award: we’ve been forging our path for many years, and this award, among other factors, confirms that it’s the right path. We work innovatively, people see that, and it’s appreciated. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for the confidence they place in us,” said Jan Hofkens.
