The Labor and Employment Department consisting of 15 lawyers is actively involved in defending management clients in employment and discrimination law litigation before the Commonwealth and federal courts in cases which deal with allegations of unjust termination of employment and of discrimination, as well as claims of sexual harassment. The department also has ample experience preparing, conducting and delivering training and educational seminars to clients' executive or supervisory groups, concerning all areas of labor and employment law.

The Labor and Employment Law Department has represented management clients in over one hundred and seventy-five union representation elections conducted by the Puerto Rico Regional Office of the National Labor Relations Board. It has also had extensive experience in representing clients charged with unfair labor practices in violation of the Taft-Hartley Act (NLRA) and has litigated numerous unfair labor practice cases that have been decided by the National Labor Relations Board in Washington , D.C., and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the District of Columbia. It also represents and counsels the Firm's clients in union contract negotiations and arbitration, as well as EEOC, OSHA, OFCCP, ERISA, Federal Wage and Hour, Antidiscrimination Unit and other Puerto Rico Labor Department cases. Furthermore, advice is also given regarding ADA , Rehabilitation Act and FMLA matters.
