Ben is a UK-qualified employment lawyer in Clyde & Co's MENA employment team, based in Dubai. Ben’s practice covers all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law in the UK, the UAE and its free zones (including the Dubai International Financial Centre), the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He advises clients in a variety of sectors with a particular focus on financial services, insurance, oil & gas and aviation.
Ben advises employers on recruitment and immigration issues (including nationalization programs), managing performance, employee transfers, manpower supply arrangements, bonus disputes and issues arising on termination of employment including the enforcement of post-termination restrictions and the protection of confidential information.
Ben also has extensive experience advising on employment issues arising from complex internal investigations, corporate restructurings, outsourcings and multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions.
Ben was named as a “Next Generation Lawyer” in Legal 500 and is a regular speaker at events on labour law issues across the Middle East.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Ben was a solicitor at a leading international firm in London where he acted for employers and senior executives in a range of High Court and Employment Tribunal litigation.
