Mr. Desmornes is a lawyer specializing in business law and has a background in international law and general private law from the Université Montesquieu in Bordeaux. His interest in international law is dictated among other things by a desire to be able to better defend the interests of his country of origin, Haiti, when negotiating international conventions or treaties. He has been a member of Cabinet Salès since 2011 and concentrates on the practice of contract law and is gradually developing an increased interest in private law, conscious of the enormous needs of the clientele he vigorously defends. The well-known problems of inheritance rights faced by many Haitian families in a country with a rich historical heritage fueled its interest in family law, particularly with regard to the renewal of the estate inheritance.
The orientation of his practice is almost invariably influenced by his sense of patriotic duty and commands in him the virtues of an energetic, assertive, methodical and objective leader, qualities very useful in pleading. He is a consultant for the Research and Support Group for the Rural Environment (GRAMIR). He collaborates, among other things, in the drafting of the draft law on mines and quarries.
