For most of her ﬁfteen-year legal career, Giselle Reuben has specialized in Intellectual Property. As a leader in the ﬁeld, she has won recognition from a number of prestigious international publications including The Legal 500, Chambers & Partners, Latin Lawyer and Who’s Who Legal. Giselle has been lauded for vigilance and capability in the registration, protection, and defense of intellectual property rights, as well as for her performance in complex litigation on trademarks and copyrights, and anti-counterfeiting. Additionally, she advises on Regulatory Law matters such as the sanitary and phytosanitary registration of products before State Authorities in the region.
Giselle joined BLP in 2006 as an Associate and was named a Partner of the ﬁrm in 2014. She was previously head of the Intellectual Property Department at the law ﬁrm Feinzaig, Scharf & Van der Putten.
In 2007 Giselle became a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Costa Rican Intellectual Property Professionals Association. She has served on the Board of Directors of the National Biodiversity Institute and is a member of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Bar Association. Giselle has served as a Director of the Intellectual Property Sub-Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce. Presently, she is a member of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property and the International Trademark Association.
