Kate was called to the bar in 2015 and joined Barteaux in 2018, practicing exclusively in Labour and Employment Law. Prior to joining Barteaux, Kate maintained a busy general practice in a small rural firm where she focused on supporting small business owners by drafting employment contracts and policies, as well as providing advice during terminations.
She has drawn on that experience to provide personalized, strategic, and timely advice to her clients on the design and implementation of workplace policies, drafting employment and independent contractor agreements, and management of workplace performance. As an advocate, Kate has appeared before the Provincial Court, Small Claims Court and Supreme Court on various matters. Additionally Kate has appeared in the Supreme Court of Canada.
