Amman, Jordan - The Jordanian Arbitrator’s Association (“JAA”) has elected our managing partner Dr. Omar M. H. Aljazy to serve as its President for a term of three years. The JAA is a private organization comprised of approximately 150 professional members from various disciplines, which was founded in 1997 for the purpose of promoting the culture of arbitration in resolving disputes throughout Jordan and the region.
Dr. Omar M.H. Aljazy is the founding and managing partner of Aljazy & Co., a premier commercial law firm in Jordan specializing in transactional, litigation and alternative dispute resolution on a local and international level. Aljazy & Co. is also Jordan’s representative for the Employment Law Alliance, a global network of labor and employment attorneys from 135 countries worldwide.
Dr. Omar M.H. Aljazy holds a Ph.D. in International Commercial Arbitration Law from the University of Kent at Canterbury in the United Kingdom, an MA in International and Comparative Business Law from London Guildhall University, and a BA in Law from University of Jordan. In addition, Dr. Aljazy is a listed arbitrator for various arbitral institutions, including the Dubai International Arbitration Association (“DIAC”), the International Chamber of Commerce (“ICC”) and the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration.
