The Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the Act) provides for all businesses which have a turnover of over £36 million to publish an annual statement stating the steps that they have taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in their business or their supply chains. This requirement is not yet in force, and is expected to be brought into force no earlier than October 2015.
